Plux supports publishing to Instagram Business and Creator accounts through the official Instagram API.

Prerequisites

  • Your Instagram account must be a Business or Creator account (personal accounts are not supported by the Instagram API).
  • Your Instagram account must be linked to a Facebook Page.
  • You must be an admin of the linked Facebook Page.

How to Switch to a Business Account

  1. Open the Instagram app and go to Settings → Account → Switch to Professional Account.
  2. Choose Business or Creator.
  3. Link it to your Facebook Page when prompted.

Steps to Connect

  1. In your Plux dashboard, go to Channels → Add Channel → Instagram.
  2. Authorize via Facebook (Instagram connections are managed through Facebook).
  3. Select the Instagram account you want to connect.
  4. Click Confirm.

Supported Content

  • Single image posts
  • Carousel posts (multiple images)
  • Video posts (Reels)

Note: Instagram Stories are not supported through the API at this time. Direct messages and comments cannot be managed from Plux.
