Content rules give you fine-grained control over which RSS items are published and how they appear on your social channels.

Available Rules

  • Keyword Filters — Only post items containing (or excluding) specific keywords in the title or description.
  • Category Filters — Filter by RSS item categories or tags.
  • Post Template — Define a custom template for the published post. Use placeholders like {title}, {link}, {description}, and {image}.
  • Hashtags — Automatically append hashtags to every post from this feed.
  • URL Shortening — Automatically shorten links using Plux Link or a third-party shortener.
  • Image Handling — Choose whether to include the featured image from the RSS item.

Setting Up Rules

  1. When creating or editing an RSS feed, expand the Content Rules section.
  2. Configure the desired filters and templates.
  3. Preview how a sample post will look with the applied rules.
  4. Save the feed.

Tips

  • Use keyword filters to avoid off-topic content if you are pulling from a broad news feed.
  • Templates let you maintain a consistent voice even when sharing external content.
