When a post fails to publish, Plux shows an error message with details about what went wrong. Here are the most common causes and how to fix them.

Common Failure Reasons

Content Too Long

Each platform has character limits (e.g., X/Twitter: 280 characters, Bluesky: 300 characters). If your post exceeds the limit, it will fail.

Fix: Edit the post to shorten the text. Use the character counter in the editor to stay within limits.

Unsupported Media Format

Some platforms only accept specific image or video formats and sizes.

Fix: Convert your media to a supported format (e.g., JPEG, PNG for images; MP4 for videos) and ensure the file size is within the platform's limit.

Connection Lost

If the account's authorization has expired, Plux cannot publish.

Fix: Reconnect the account from Channels. See Connection Errors and Solutions for more details.

Duplicate Content

Some platforms reject posts that are identical to recently published content.

Fix: Modify the post text slightly to make it unique.

Platform Outage

If the social network is experiencing downtime, posts will fail temporarily.

Fix: Wait for the platform to recover and retry the post.

  2. Click on the failed post to see the error details.
